What Train is#
Train is the measured practice area of IntelliPrep. It turns the question bank into three connected loops: topic-wise PYQ practice, full timed mocks, and mistake repair. The important detail is that attempts are not disposable. They feed Dashboard, Mistake Review, Insights, Revision Helper, Notes, and Bookmarks.

Workflow steps

Step 1Use subject groups, search, and selected-topic chips to pick what you want to drill.

What it isA timed mock-paper simulator for full JEE exam practice.

Step 1Choose from the paper list, usually grouped by year and paper.

Step 2A full mock runs with the JEE-style 180-minute timer and keeps in-progress sessions available.

Step 3Use the question navigator, subject filter, previous/next controls, and mark-for-review states.

Step 4Scoring follows the implemented JEE rules: +4 correct, -1 wrong MCQ, and 0 for wrong numerical.

Step 5Study the result summary, inspect each question, run AI analysis, and generate a Daily Coach recovery session from wrong attempts.
Mistake Review#
What it isA focused queue of questions whose latest saved attempt is wrong.
Best used forTurning known weak questions into clean, corrected attempts.

Workflow steps

Step 1The backend finds the latest attempt per question and returns only those still marked wrong.

Step 2Answer the question again before opening the worked solution.

Step 3A correct retry becomes the latest row, so the question clears from future mistake queues.

Solutions and feedback#
Train supports both single-correct MCQs and numerical questions. Numerical answers use tolerant matching for equivalent numeric values. "Show Solution" checks the saved solution cache first; if a solution is missing, the backend generates one with the Grok solver and symbolic math tooling, then stores it for future use.

Question imagesFigures extracted during paper onboarding render with the question when available.
Worked solutionStep-by-step reasoning, LaTeX math, and final answer are shown when generated or cached.

Recommended routines#
Daily scoring loop

Step 1Start with one short Practice PYQs set on a high-priority topic.

Step 2Immediately clear any new wrong answers in Mistake Review.

Step 3Save one formula, trap, or key insight as a note if the question exposed a durable lesson.
Mock-test loop

Step 1Take a Full Test under the 180-minute timer without pausing unless you must.

Step 2Review raw score, attempted count, accuracy, subject split, and wrong/unattempted questions.

Step 3Generate a post-mock recovery session, then repair the highest-yield mistakes while the paper is fresh.
Revision-linked loop

Step 1Let Revision Helper send you into a targeted drill or mistake review action.

Step 2Complete the Train action normally so accuracy and confidence can feed back into the Daily Coach.

Step 3Use the offline pack or Anki export later for low-retention topics, then return to Train for measured practice.
What gets saved#
Attempts are append-only. The app inserts a new row for each checked answer rather than rewriting old history. The latest row for a user and question decides whether it is currently correct or still in the mistake queue.
- Practice sets are saved so you can resume or review past generated sets.
- Full-test sessions save score, accuracy, attempted/wrong counts, timing, and past-session review data.
- Wrong answers flow into Mistake Review until a later correct attempt replaces them as the latest state.
- Notes and bookmarks are private to your account and can be created from Train screens where supported.
- Question translations, syllabus translations, and insight translations fall back to English when missing.
